D’Andre Swift Impresses During Season Opener
3 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift certainly exceeded expectations during the season opener on Sunday, finishing the Week 1 loss to San Francisco with 11 carries for 39 yards. Although his output on the ground wasn't the best, he made amends by racking up eight catches (11 targets) for 65 yards and a touchdown, finding the end zone off a 43-yard pass from Jared Goff in the third quarter. It was unquestionably a pleasant sight to see the sophomore out there, mainly after he battled a groin injury and conditioning concerns during training camp. Nonetheless, Swift will indeed have a few rough outings in Detroit this season. However, he should remain starting for the foreseeable future, especially in PPR formats.
