D'Andre Swift Logs Second Straight Limited Practice
3 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (groin) was limited at practice Thursday, continuing a pattern from earlier in the week. Swift has been a frequenter of the injury report this season, but he has still earned enough volume to be the Lions' top pass catcher, as well as their lead back. Swift has logged between eight and 14 carries in each of the team's first seven games, finding pay dirt in five of those outings. Fellow running back Jamaal Williams (thigh) has also been limited during practice, with either likely to see an elevated role should the other ultimately be held out. While Godwin Igwebuike and Jermar Jefferson would be the next men up for Detroit, there's little inclination that Swift won't be healthy to face Philly come Sunday.
