D'Andre Swift Ruled Out For Sunday’s Contest
4 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (concussion) will miss Sunday's game versus Carolina due to not having cleared concussion protocol in time to take the field. Swift has emerged as Detroit's most captivating running back talent from a fantasy perspective over the last two weeks with his absence re-opening the door for Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson to have extended roles. To make things doubly tricky for Swift, the Lions' next contest comes Thursday against the Texans, giving him little time to pass protocol after Sunday if he's to not miss a second game. With that in mind, fantasy managers could nab Peterson as an upside RB2/3 on a multi-week streamer claim. Swift figures to take over lead back duties upon his return, whenever that comes.
