Daniel Bard Locks Up The Save In Saturday's Win
3 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Daniel Bard earned the save on Saturday when he allowed one hit with two strikeouts over a scoreless ninth inning in a 4-1 win over the San Francisco Giants. Bard was given the relatively easy task of protecting a three-run lead on Saturday and got the job done. He did allow a harmless single to Brandon Crawford but also managed to strike out Evan Longoria and Wilmer Flores to end the contest. The veteran reliever now owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and 60:21 K/BB ratio across 46 2/3 innings. He's 19-for-25 on save chances this season as well.
