6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Daniel Gossett left his start on Sunday after five innings pitched with elbow tightness, per San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser. The 25-year-old was cruising before he exited, giving up one run on two hits and two walks with a strikeout. He will return to Oakland on Monday for a precautionary MRI. If Gossett needs a DL stint, right-hander Chris Bassitt is likely to be recalled.
