6 years agoRichard Childress Racing's Daniel Hemric ended up being the top rookie in Saturday's field at the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway as he brought it home in the 19th position. It was Hemric's third top-20 finish of the season, and Saturday's finish was bested only by an 18th-place showing at Phoenix back on March 10. He has led a total of just five laps this season through nine starts, but you can certainly do worse with your final roster spot most weeks in DFS. Hemric will make his first Cup start at Talladega on April 28 when racing resumes after Easter. He has two Xfinity starts under his belt at the Alabama superspeedway, posting dismal finishes of 23rd and 38th.--Daniel Dobish
