Daniel Jones Aids In Giants’ Offensive Playbook Development
3 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is set for a pivotal season in 2022, one exacerbated by the arrival of former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll as his head coach. Rather than Daboll deploying a new playbook for Jones, the soon-to-be fourth-year signal caller said that he had input of his own. "It will be an ongoing process to get a feel for what those things are -- what I like, what [Daboll] likes. And we'll do it,' Jones said via Jordan Raanan of ESPN. Jones completed a career-best 64.3 percent of his passes in 11 games last year, but the Giants' offense scuffled mightily despite a plethora of playmakers. Once the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Jones' season-long fantasy stock for the time being is likely limited to two-QB leagues as an intriguing upside play in Daboll's system.
