Daniel Jones Struggles In Loss
5 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones struggled in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. Once affectionately known as "Danny Dimes," the rookie signal-caller was sloppy and scattered on Sunday, completing 21 of 38 passes for 182 yards, one TD and one INT. He also had happy feet in the pocket and missed Sterling Shepard multiple times for wide-open touchdowns. He still gives the Giants their best chance to win, but this is a good reminder that he's a rookie quarterback on a below-average team, and there will be growing pains. In fact, we're likely to see them on Thursday night when the Giants face the Patriots. Jones is not a recommended option for that game except in the deepest of two-quarterback leagues where you have no choice. Don't watch the game though.
