Daniel Jones Unlikely To Have Fifth-Year Option Exercised
3 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has struggled throughout a majority of his first three seasons. That being said, the Giants organization appears reluctant to accept his fifth-year option. The team has until May to decide if they want to exercise his option, which would be fully guarantee $21.3 million in 2023. Jones would be in a contract year in 2022, assuming the Giants decide to decline the option. They could potentially franchise tag Jones in 2023 if he proves them wrong. However, Jones hasn't done anything through his first three seasons to be worth over $20 million per season.
