4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Daniel Lynch had his best appearance of the spring on Saturday. The southpaw struck out five batters without issuing a walk over three innings. He allowed two runs on two hits, including a home run. He now has a 9.45 ERA over three spring appearances. Last season, Lynch spent the year at the club's alternate training site. In 2019, the 34th-overall pick from the 2018 amateur draft struggled with injuries but posted a 3.10 ERA in 15 high-A starts. He's ranked by Rotoballer as the 36th-best dynasty prospect and 13th-best pitching prospect in baseball. Lynch is expected to make his MLB debut in 2021 but should start the year at the club's alternate training site.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
