6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Daniel Mengden had a rough outing in a 6-3 loss to the Astros Tuesday evening. He allowed six runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings while walking four and only striking out one batter. Mengden had an effective first inning, but most of the damage was done in the second with a solo homer to Carlos Correa and a three-run shot to Evan Gattis. Mengden’s record drops to 6-6 and after two terrible outings, and he will look to get back on track against the Angels in his next start.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
