Daniel Norris to Start for Tigers on Friday
7 years agoAfter inclement weather forced the Tigers and Royals into a doubleheader, Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire stated that pitcher Daniel Norris will make a spot start in Game 2 on Friday. Norris has been used strictly in relief this season, making two appearances and allowing five runs in 6 1/3 innings. However, last year he started 18 games, pitching to a 5-8 record with a 5.31 ERA and a 86/44 K/BB ratio. Despite facing a struggling Royals team, Norris' struggles in the 'pen and as a starter make him an untrustworthy streamer Friday afternoon.
