5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Daniel Ponce de Leon will start in place of Adam Wainwright who has been scratched due to back spasms for tonight's game. Ponce de Leon started three games for the Cardinals earlier this season, recording a 2.66 ERA before being placed in the bullpen. Ponce de Leon has a high strikeout upside, boasting an 11.2 K/9 and 2.16 ERA in six appearances. He has been especially good at Busch Stadium this season, recording a 0.82 ERA in two appearances.--Nate Duffett
