6 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Daniel Robertson (illness) was removed during the second inning of Tuesday's game against Colorado. The team announced the illness but did not disclose any more about the departure. He was pinch hit for by infielder Brandon Lowe. The Rays have already dealt with injury in the infield, placing Matt Duffy (hamstring) and Joey Wendle (hamstring) on the Injured List within the past week. While Robertson's illness doesn't seem to be serious since he attempted to play, expect Lowe to see extended time at the keystone in the meantime.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
