4 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays’ flurry of moves at the Trade Deadline on Monday forced the club to make some significant roster decisions Tuesday, designating first baseman/designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach and infielder Brandon Drury for assignment. Vogelbach had a brief stint with the club, going 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts, while Drury has been with the club since 2018. Despite proving versatile last year, Drury has compiled a -2 OPS+ through his first 21 games this season. The acquisition of Jonathan Villar has made Drury’s presence on the roster obsolete, with both DFA’d players having a chance to latch on elsewhere, even as they present little fantasy intrigue at this stage.--Jesse Borek
