6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Daniel Vogelbach tallied his 18th big fly of the year Wednesday, taking Royals starter Brad Keller deep. The hulking slugger finished the day going 1-for-2 with a walk while cashing in two RBI. With Jay Bruce and Edwin Encarnacion out of town Vogelbach has a clear path to every day playing time as he looks to build on his breakout season. The power is legit, and he has commendable plate discipline metrics (22.0 K%/18.7 BB%) for his first full year in the big leagues, so his .256 batting average still has room to grow. Vogelbach will continue to bat in the meat of the order putting up a substantial RBI total and needs ownership everywhere.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
