3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Danny Amendola (hamstring) sustained a hamstring injury during the team's Week 2 loss to Cleveland. The ailment helps to clarify why Amendola saw just 12 snaps a week removed from an impressive five-catch performance in Week 1, which also included a touchdown. Brandin Cooks has emerged as the premier pass-catching weapon for the Texans' offense, but the uncertainty under center between Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) and Davis Mills doesn't help Amendola's appeal, either. For the time being, the Houston wideout core is too crowded for Amendola to have much season-long relevance. Check back to see if he can be cleared in time to suit up for Week 3 versus the Panthers, which is just three days away.--Jesse Borek
