Danny Jansen Dealing With Hamstring Tightness
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen (hamstring) exited Wednesday's game due to right hamstring tightness, according to Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic. Jansen hit a two-out double in the seventh inning which is when he appears to have sustained the injury, as he was then replaced by pinch-runner Reese McGuire. McGrath adds that the team is waiting to see how Jansen feels Thursday, but they may end up recalling catcher Alejandro Kirk, who was activated from the 60-day IL this week and optioned to Triple-A Buffalo. Managers should consider Jansen day-to-day for now, but don't be surprised if he ends up on the injured list.
