Danny Jansen Hits Third Homer In As Many Days
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen popped his third homer of the season, and third in as many days, during the team's 8-4 win over the Astros on Saturday. After finishing April with an atrocious .045/.143/.068 slash line, the 26-year-old has picked it up with the bat of late with hits in four of his six May starts. We still need to see a lot more from Jansen to warrant roster consideration in one-catcher formats since his batting average has just finally pushed above the .100 mark. With Alejandro Kirk on the 60-day IL, Jansen will get more than the lion's share of starts behind the dish, and perhaps more playing time will help his bat find a groove.
