Danny Santana Collects Two More Hits
5 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Danny Santana went 2-for-4 in a loss to the Mariners Wednesday afternoon. Santana has been one of the hottest hitters in the league sporting a .437 batting average since July 7. Santana did strike out twice in the game and his 27.7 percent strikeout rate could hold him back a little and his .394 BABIP on the season suggests some regression is coming. Still, he seems to be in the zone right now and is making the best contact of his career at 45 percent hard contact. He bats second for a good lineup in a great hitters park and is worth an add as a hot-hand play in 12 team leagues and deeper. He'll try and stay hot with a four-game series in Oakland this weekend.
