Danny Santana Launches Homer No. 23
5 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Danny Santana went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Angels Tuesday. Santana now has two hits in his last 22 plate appearances, with both hits being home runs. Santana was due for some regression after a torrid start to the second half as his BABIP was over .400 for a while. Things seem to have corrected a bit and fantasy owners should expect Santana to come around again soon. He is still making 45.2 percent hard contact on the season with an impressive 25.2 percent line-drive rate. He strikes out too much to help in batting average and his walk rate is almost non-existent, but he should be a solid source of counting stats down the stretch in fantasy batting near the top of the Texas lineup.
