Dante Pettis Could Build On Career Game
6 years agoWith a depleted receiving corps in Week 12, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis played in 58 of 64 snaps (91 percent). He also converted seven targets into four grabs, 77 yards and a touchdown. With Marquise Goodwin (personal) and Pierre Garcon (knee) questionable, Pettis could emerge as the team’s second passing option after tight end George Kittle. Even when he plays, Garcon’s been mediocre and with Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor not capitalizing on opportunities, it makes sense for the Niners to give the second-round rookie a long look. Worth a stash down the stretch, Pettis is a plug-and-play WR4 If either Goodwin or Garcon sit in Week 13. Otherwise, he’s a risky low-floor option.
