7 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Dante Pettis has been inconsistent so far in training camp. He creates separation with what quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo calls "wiggle" and continues to make plays on the outside, but he has also struggled with contested balls and winning at the catch point. Rookies often struggle with consistency, so this shouldn't be a surprise. The second-round pick should compete for playing time in his first season in the NFL, but he has a better chance to contribute on special teams immediately.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
