Dante Pettis Upgraded To Full Practice
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis (groin) was upgraded to full in Thursday’s practice. The second-year pro had been limited throughout the week but he looks ready to go in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With injuries to Trent Taylor (foot) and Jalen Hurd (back), the Niners formerly-deep receiving corps will likely feature Pettis, Marquise Goodwin and rookie Deebo Samuel. While Pettis is the de facto No. 1 receiver, he’ll also compete with target monster tight end George Kittle and a versatile backfield. Facing one of the worst pass defenses last year, Pettis is an upside WR3 in a highly favorable matchup.
