3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Dany Jimenez has struggled recently, but turned it around on Thursday. He gave up an RBI single after replacing Sam Moll in the eighth inning. However, Jimenez was able to retire the next four batters for the save during Thursday's victory over the Boston Red Sox. Over his previous six games, Jimenez has allowed 11 runs over 4 2/3 innings. He'll need a few more solid outings before he can fully claim the closer role again. It doesn't help the A's aren't often in position for saves, but this was a positive step for Jimenez.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
