3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Dany Jimenez pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Rays to earn his first career save. Jimenez worked around a one-out error to protect a three-run lead and help Oakland win the series at Tampa Bay. Closer Lou Trivino had pitched in the two games prior, so Jimenez isn't likely to see another save chance in the near future.
