4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Darin Ruf made his single at-bat count in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Phillies, hitting a three-run home run. Ruf pinch-hit in the seventh inning down three with two on and one out and took a Brandon Kintzler fastball into the outfield bullpen to tie the game. The 34-year-old has not hit for average this season (.200) but does have three HR and a .650 slugging percentage in 23 plate appearances.
