Darius Slayton Makes Initial 53-Man Roster
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton will be on the team's initial 53-man roster. Slayton had been on the roster bubble for most of the summer, and he's also been the subject of recent trade talk, but he'll remain with the team for the time being. However, there's still no guarantee that he'll be with the G-Men when the regular season starts in Week 1. Slayton is well of the fantasy radar to open the year behind Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, rookie Wan'Dale Robinson and Sterling Shepard. The 25-year-old former fifth-round pick in 2019 had career-lows in receptions (26), targets (58), receiving yards (339) and touchdowns (two) in 13 games (five starts) in 2021. It was very disappointing that he didn't step up given all of the injuries at the position for the Giants last year.
