Darius Slayton - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton returned in Week 7 after missing the previous three weeks with a hamstring injury. He recorded five receptions on nine targets for 63 yards in last Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers. The Giants are expected to be without top WR Kenny Golladay, but Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) could return for Monday's contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Slayton serves as the Giants' primary downfield threat and averages 14.6 air yards per target over four games this season. The Chiefs defense rank 27th in DVOA against WR1s, and if Shepard returns, rank 24th in DVOA against WR2s. Slayton is a boom-or-bust flex option in Week 8 despite the favorable matchup.
