Darnell Mooney - Week 16 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney will take on a Seahawks secondary that is allowing the 10th fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. The second-year player has been the most reliable receiver in an inept offense and caught five passes for 63 yards in the team's loss to the Vikings last week. Mooney is averaging 7.2 targets a game this season but drops have, at times, plagued his progression as a possible WR1 in the offense. The Bears have announced that third-string quarterback Nick Foles is trending towards getting the start this weekend. Foles mostly works out of the shotgun and Mooney could post a solid number in PPR-formats if the veteran passer leans heavily on the intermediate passing game. Mooney will be a risky WR5 selection in Week 16.
