Darrel Williams Catches Six Balls In Week 8
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams did a little bit of everything in a Week 8 victory versus the New York Giants. Surprisingly backup running back Derrick Gore saw a fair amount of action in the contest, but Williams was still able to muster up 49 yards on 13 carries. He also caught all six of his targets for 61 yards. After a poor performance in Week 7, Williams made it up to his managers with a nice performance on Monday evening. Despite the emergence of Gore in the contest, Williams remains the lead in the backfield with Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) on injured reserve. Edwards-Helaire will be eligible to come off of IR this week, but until he returns, Williams is the running back to roster in all formats. If Williams gets another start, he will face the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 and should be considered a RB2 in the contest.
