Darrel Williams Could Be A Surprise Cut

2 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Darrel Williams could be a surprise cut or trade candidate this summer, according to multiple league sources. Williams will make only $1.035 million this year, and the Cardinals don't have much RB depth with Williams, Eno Benjamin, rookie Keaontay Ingram and Jonathan Ward behind starter James Conner. However, Williams has played only four snaps in the preseason. Benjamin has started both preseason games, while Ingram has impressed. The Cardinals would save only $895,000 by cutting Williams and since his contract is guaranteed, if cut, they'd only recoup the money if he signed with another club.
