Darrel Williams, Tyrann Mathieu Active For AFC Title Game
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams (toe) and defensive back Tyrann Mathieu (concussion) are officially active and will play in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Williams was inactive for last Sunday's Divisional-Round win versus the Buffalo Bills but is all systems go against the Bengals after practicing in a limited fashion this week. He is expected to split Kansas City's backfield with Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Williams rushed for 558 yards on 144 attempts and six TDs while hauling in 47 catches for 452 yards and two scores over 17 regular-season games. The 26-year-old is a risky pick in DFS due to the uncertainty of his workload for Sunday's game. Mathieu cleared the league's concussion protocols and was removed from the injury report altogether. He was a full participant in both Thursday and Friday's practices. The 29-year-old's presence only helps the Chiefs defense. Mathieu racked up 76 tackles, three interceptions, and a sack over 16 games in 2021.
