3 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (thumb) had been dealing with a small injury a week ago, but he suffered another injury on Monday during practice when he hurt his thumb. When asked about the severity of the injury, head coach Sean McVay said, "I'm not sure. He got his thumb. Don't have any updates on that." The Rams backfield is already thin, and they can't afford to lose Henderson for any period of time. With Henderson banged up, it's highly unlikely that he'll be playing in the team's final preseason matchup. This also opens the door for players such as Xavier Jones and Jake Funk to take on a larger role if Henderson misses extended time.
