3 years agoDetroit Lions tight end Darren Fells has drawn praise from the Lions coaching staff through the first two weeks of training camp. The veteran tight end was signed to back up T.J. Hockenson and fit into the TE2 role perfectly. Fells has shown a savvy blocking ability and a pass-catching ability when called upon. All signs are pointing towards a huge season for Hockenson but Fells is providing the type of depth that the Lions have not enjoyed in the past. Fells, at best, will be a touchdown-dependent TE2 fantasy option when the season begins--Joey C - RotoBaller
