Darren O'Day Works Out Of Jam Friday
7 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Darren O'Day had an excellent outing against the Braves on Friday. O'Day entered the game with one out in the bottom of the ninth and the winning run on third base after Zach Britton's fiasco of a performance. He was able to strand the runner and escape the inning and proceeded to pitch a clean 10th inning. O'Day's final stat line was 1 2/3 innings pitched with no runs, two hits, a walk and two strikeouts. He has been great out of the Orioles bullpen this season, posting a 2.70 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP in 20 innings. While he may not provide many holds given the quality of the team he plays for, O'Day is worth a look in category leagues for his ERA and strikeout numbers.
