7 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles could lead the Eagles backfield in snaps in 2018, according to NJ.com Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks. Sproles was the starter last season before a season-ending injury, and apparently the presence of Jay Ajayi may not change that this year. While he certainly won't operate as a three-down back, an effective Sproles will hugely sap the upside of Ajayi. Sproles may ultimately end up as the back to own in the Eagles backfield for the coming season, although both he and Ajayi should have some value.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
