Darren Waller “Easing” Back To Action
5 years agoOakland Raiders tight end Darren Waller is “easing” back to full activity after suffering an AC joint sprain over the weekend. The 27-year-old was standing out at camp as a pass-catcher generating rave reviews from the coaching staff, but the hype train can slow down for the next week. Head coach Jon Gruden said that Waller’s involvement will increase after the team opens up split practice with the Rams this week, followed by a preseason game over the weekend. Waller can be ruled out for the first game, although the issue doesn’t sound overly serious and he will hopefully be out there for the second dress rehearsal. It’s a situation to monitor going forward, but he still remains a sleeper at the tight end position.
