2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller caught four of six targets for 79 yards in the team's season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Waller operated as a downfield weapon most of this game, averaging 19.8 yards per catch. This is encouraging to see from the tight end, who dealt with an injury and wasn't able to do much this preseason. Waller's ability to stretch the field has always given him the upside most tight ends don't possess. Quarterback Derek Carr also missed Waller on a wide-open crossing route in the end zone, which could have made this a big game for the tight end. Regardless, the opportunities will be there with receiver Davante Adams opening up the field and dictating coverages. Lock Waller in as a high-end TE1 at home against the Cardinals in Week 2.--Al Calo - RotoBaller
