Darrynton Evans Will Start Friday’s Preseason Game
3 years agoTennessee Titans running back Darrynton Evans will start Friday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. According to head coach Mike Vrabel, Evans will draw the start at running back after having a strong camp. "He's been doing good at camp because he's been able to be out there every day," said Vrabel. The 23-year-old has seen a significant workload during training camp and could have a vital role on third downs in 2021. Evans logged 14 carries for 54 yards while adding two catches for 27 yards and a touchdown in 2020. The former third-round pick is competing with Brian Hill for the Titans RB2 spot behind star Derrick Henry. Evans starting in the first preseason game gives him a leg up on the competition over Hill and is the Titans running back fantasy managers should target to back up Henry.
