3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Daulton Jefferies (elbow) was scratched from his start on Saturday versus the Angels with an injury to his pitching elbow. Jefferies will be placed on the injured list with right elbow ulnar neuritis, according to Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle. The news comes as a bummer for Jefferies who was slated to make his second start of the season on Saturday with James Kaprielian transitioning to a bullpen role. Kaprielian wound up pitching well on Saturday, but remains a high-risk fantasy option as he was struggling mightily before the move to the bullpen.
