3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks catcher Daulton Varsho isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Houston Astros and left-handed starter Framber Valdez. Varsho has a hit and five walks in his first 19 plate appearances for Arizona this season. He batted .246 with a .318 on-base percentage, 11 home runs, and six stolen bases in 315 plate appearances last season. The 25-year-old has been starting regularly in center field for the Diamondbacks this season, but will head to the bench with Jake McCarthy getting the start and batting seventh against Valdez.
