Davante Adams Won't Play On Franchise Tag

2 years agoGreen Bay Packers star wide receiver Davante Adams has informed the team that he won't play on the franchise tag, and the two sides remain far apart on a long-term deal, according to sources. Adams received the tag last week, but this will be an interesting situation to watch as free agency opens this week. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is back with a new deal, but Adams' situation is getting sticky with Green Bay. The deadline for the Packers to work on a new deal with Adams will come on July 15, so the two sides still have four months to work on this.
