David Bell Seeing More Work In Practice
2 years agoCleveland Browns rookie wide receiver David Bell, who missed around two weeks of training camp with a foot injury he suffered in June minicamp, got his most significant work in training camp practice on Tuesday, including multiple red-zone targets from quarterback Jacoby Brissett in game-like situations. The Browns aren't rushing Bell back and held him out of last week's preseason opener, but his increased practice workload should be taken as a good sign that he's closer to full speed. The third-rounder could be an immediate impact player for the Browns offense in the slot. Bell could see work with the first-team offense in the preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. With not many proven options behind No. 1 wideout Amari Cooper, Bell could have a substantial role in his rookie season.
