2 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback David Blough completed 18 of 28 passes for 141 yards during Friday's preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons. His final stat line included zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also picked up a team-most 22 yards on the ground. The 27-year-old Purdue product spent most of last season as the Lions' No. 3 quarterback, but he made enough of an impact to earn a new contract this offseason. He continues to compete for the role of Jared Goff's backup, but given how the snap count played out Friday, it looks like Tim Boyle has a leg up on the competition once again.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
