3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder David Bote went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Colorado Rockies. Bote took Austin Gomber deep for his eighth home run in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at the time. The versatile infielder has been getting plenty of playing time in the second half, but hasn't done much with his opportunity. For the season, Bote is hitting .202 with eight home runs and 32 RBI.
