David Bote Walks Off in Chicago
6 years agoCubs third baseman David Bote saved the day in Chicago on Sunday by delivering a game-winning grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning. Bote came up to the plate as a pinch-hitter, down three runs to the Nationals with the bases loaded and sent one deep against Ryan Madson. Despite Kris Bryant's extended absence due to a shoulder injury, the Cubs have been pretty secure at third base with Bote. Unfortunately, he is not fantasy relevant at the moment. However, with his high on-base percentage, more playing time playing time just might change that.
