David Dahl Still Remains Potential Leadoff Candidate
7 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl hit a single in the 3-2 victory against the Cincinnati Reds. Dahl has looked pretty subpar this spring training, hitting .152 with a .495 OPS. However, Dahl still remains competitive for the leadoff spot this year for the Rockies. Ian Desmond was another player rumored to compete for the leadoff spot and has only batted for a .063 batting average so far this spring training, which definitely helps Dahl's situation. Dahl will definitely have to pick up his play and stay healthy, though, if he even wants a spot in the crowded Rockies outfield with Desmond, Gerardo Parra and Charlie Blackmon being his biggest competitors. Feel free to take a risk and hold him in hopes that he will be named the leadoff hitter. However, he should mainly be kept on all watch lists right now.
