David Fletcher Fails To Get A Hit Again
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels second baseman David Fletcher couldn't get out of the rut he's been in on Wednesday, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the 7-2 win against the Texas Rangers. It marked the eighth game in a row without a hit, and he's gone 0-for-24 with a walk over that span. The drought has dropped his average from .272 to .261. Without a good batting average, Fletcher's value plummets, as he has just two home runs and a .319 slugging this season over 153 games. Manager Joe Maddon has also recently move Fletcher to number nine in the batting order after hitting first or second for most of the season. Fantasy managers should bench Fletcher in favor of another second baseman giving any sort of value.
