5 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder/outfielder David Fletcher has earned early praise from his new manager Joe Maddon. Fletcher enjoyed a solid season last year, hitting .290 while playing excellent infield defense and appearing in a career-high 154 games. Now Maddon wants to utilize him in the outfield. "I want to get him in the game as often as possible," Maddon told reporters, "because I think he's that good." Fletcher lacks power but consistently produced as a contact hitter with a high average last year. He may not have fantasy viability in standard formats but should see plenty of at-bats right out of the gate in an improved Angels offense.--Joey C - RotoBaller
